"Do so what thou wilt, is the entire length and breadth of the Law."
In other words (if other words are necessary), there is no Absolute Imperative behind the doing of "good" or "bad." They are but random, shifting decorations upon a sliding scale between expediency and the arbitrary.
N.B.: Should you wish to build a societal or a relational system around ideas of "the good" and "the bad," you are free to do it; that does not contravene the Law. BUT, remember, you are voluntarily opting into whatever you are building. Others may choose to opt in with you.
What WOULD contravene the Law would be to pretend you have transcended the Law; that your system is of forever; that your system IS the Law; that you compel others to genuflect to your creation, either by force or by propagating ignorance. Close as many eyes to it as you will, the Law will ever stand & tho you turn your back upon it, it shall come at you untarnished from the eyes of those you have deluded. As you stand upon the pulpit, as you stand up in the dock, look over the assembled faces and watch that quicksilver moonlight twinkle...there!...there!...
